Henley Beach Surf Club

What a great place! I visited on a Friday afternoon with clear blue skies and a hint of ocean breeze. As long as you understand that this is a Surf Life Saving Club, you'll have a fantastic time. I ordered a cider and a fish burger, both of which were delicious. The chips that came with the burger were especially good - salty and perfectly crunchy. The rest of my group ordered wraps and fish and chips, and everyone seemed very happy with their meals.

We visited this club on The Esplanade for sunset drinks. The location, up a few flights of stairs, offers stunning views of Henley Beach and the pier, especially at sunset from the balcony with its clear panels. We ordered and paid for our drinks at the bar, then found some available seats. With a Long Island Iced Tea and a glass of sparkling red wine, we were content on the balcony. It can get chilly this time of year, so we eventually moved back inside to the main bar area. The staff were very friendly.

We opted to share the seafood platter, which was reasonably priced and came with prawns, calamari, fish, oysters, wedges, and salad. The seafood was fresh and the fish was perfectly cooked. We requested Kirkpatrick oysters instead of natural ones for an additional $2. The platter also came with aioli and tartare sauce. Despite our best efforts, we couldn't finish everything between the two of us. Our friends ordered the beef, which they said was tasty, well-cooked, and filling, served with salad and chips. The restaurant offers a good selection of affordable wines and also serves cider on tap. They have recently started serving breakfast and brunch, as well as hosting a specials night with $12 schnitzel available. While it may not be fine dining, you can expect good, honest food at decent prices, all while supporting a valuable organization in the Henley community. We definitely plan to return, but we're hesitant to spread the word too widely as we'd like to keep this hidden gem to ourselves.

We just came for the view (which is probably the best beach view Adelaide). It's a LSC so we didn't expect much but were really surprised. Lamb wrap was tasty and tender and the wedges were real potatoe! Quesadilla was good to. Thanks for a great meal and great view.

Steve and his team are friendly and accommodating Great food and well priced . It a regular goto for our family , the sunsets are amazing amd we highly recommend
