Harry's Grill Piggy's Ice

Piggy is a must for every visit. This time we're with Harry's. The food was great and didn't break the bank. There are so many nostalgic elements to look at and discuss.

Every home town should have a diner like this! Definitely a locals place. I went in craving a good cheeseburger and I got it! The burger patty was seasoned, juicy with crispy edges. The deluxe comes with lettuce, tomato, onion mayo. You can get all the way with chilli onions too. The young lady at the register was super friendly. Around 630pm and they were fairly busy. The menu is huge prices are cheap! After your meal you can walk around next door to the ice cream shop. I feel so lucky to live near a family friendly diner like this. Everyone knows everyone and if you don 't you 'll still feel at home. The gentleman next to me even offered to pay for my meal! Thank you kind sir! I will definitely be back to order what he got...a barbecue plate as they look so delicious and many sides to choose from. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure someone is keeping up with wiping down the tables!

Food was okay... Prices are decent. Not very clean. Friendly service. You can eat in or outside. I do not recommend the BBQ. The sauce has a very unique flavor. However, the chili dog w/everything was good. (P.s. the dogs are boiled. Your run of the mill cheaper diner food. Go to see the old props. It was nice to be able to eat outside. Also, they do sell Mayfield Icecream for a nice treat.

The wait was absolutely terrible! We got our food after an hour and they were just bbq sandwiches. The woman taking our order was coughing all over the counter without a mask on, then proceeded to touch the counter then the drinks. The sliced pork sandwich was dry and I never got my coleslaw. The prices are decent but, overall, not worth the wait or service.

This is a must stop if you are in Hendersonville. I had the BBQ pulled pork plate with slaw, fries, toast, hush puppies, and beans. This is lots of food. The BBQ with their special sauce and the slaw with nice but unique flavor are to write home about. The rest was well prepared but more ordinary. Then I had the raspberry chocolate chip ice cream. This is a great stop. The atmosphere is unique as well with lots of memorabilia on the walls. Check it out! Oh and the staff are friendly and efficient.
