The exterior of the restaurant looked unkempt, with overflowing garbage that gave a poor impression of the location. When I tried to speak with the manager, Marina, I received pushback regarding the litter outside, as she claimed it wasn’t their responsibility to address that issue. Additionally, the doors were in poor condition, the interior glass was dirty, and the cooler was filthy. It seems they take no pride in cleanliness, and the customer service was lacking as well. This establishment really needs improvement in how they present themselves and how they treat their customers, as well as taking responsibility for the issues they have.
The restaurant has two different pricing options displayed, and I ended up being charged the higher one. The meat tasted low-quality, reminiscent of prepackaged grocery store items, similar to what's found near Lunchables. The bagel was just average. Overall, I found myself longing for a proper New York Bagels and Bakery experience. It's the truth!
I arrived around 1 PM, just an hour before their 2 PM closing time, and noticed they were cleaning vigorously to wrap up for the day. While this is understandable, in the past, it seemed to slow down service even when only one or two customers were waiting for straightforward orders, like a bagel with cream cheese. As a hungry customer, I intended to order just a bagel with cream cheese and a coffee to go for a quick bite. The cashier who helped me appeared to be young and possibly new to this location, but he accurately entered my order for the bagel. When I asked for a regular coffee, he informed me that they didn’t have any hot coffee available, so I inquired about an iced coffee instead. He agreed, but there seemed to be some confusion. Instead of just the iced coffee, he charged me for a Large Iced Latte costing $4.89, which came in a cup smaller than most competitors’ large iced coffees, leading to a feeling of getting less value and being overcharged for something I didn’t order. I noted that I only wanted the iced coffee, and the cashier confirmed my request with a coworker, who told him it was fine to proceed, even though I had clearly stated I wanted my iced coffee with cream and sugar. I went ahead and paid for the order, despite the receipt being incorrect and overcharging me. At the counter, I took a photo of the receipt and my iced coffee, then proceeded to add cream and sugar from the self-service station. Unfortunately, the half-and-half creamer dispenser had a dirty nozzle with old, dried creamer on it, which was quite unappealing.
Staff was unfriendly. My husband's sandwich had brown lettuce. My tomatoes on my l is sandwich were soggy and slummy. Ben coming here g or years. Today made us know that we won't come back to this location. Also trash every where outside.
I ordered a toasted lox plate. Half way through, I noticed it wasn?t toasted. I asked for just a toasted bagel to move the lox and tomatoes on the new toasted bagel, but to my surprise, Mariana made me a new order, no questions asked. It was delicious. Thank you , Mariana., and the whole team.
