Carlito's Burritos - Henderson

I was excited to eat here after reading the reviews. I ordered the veggie burrito with red and green sauce, but after a few bites, I realized there was no sauce inside the burrito. It was so bland—nothing reminiscent of New Mexican cuisine. I should have said something, but I decided to leave it as is. I might give it another chance when I'm passing through. On a positive note, the restaurant was very clean, and the service was excellent.

We often visit this restaurant when we're in Vegas, but unfortunately, this time the food was not up to par. I ordered my usual, huevos rancheros, but coming from Albuquerque, NM, I expect them to be served with beans, rice, hash browns, and eggs. What I received was just eggs, burnt potatoes, and bacon. I was really disappointed. Additionally, the floors and tabletops were dirty from the night before, with food and trash scattered around. They may have lost some loyal customers over this experience; it’s unfortunate that I couldn't share any pictures of the restaurant or the burnt food.

The owner, Dave, seems to have a lackluster attitude towards his business, as indicated in his response. I visited the restaurant and found that it really needs to improve its air conditioning. It was quite hot inside, especially while trying to enjoy some spicy green chili. I was sweating after just a few bites of my meal, so I ended up taking my food to finish in my car. I couldn't help but notice how empty the place was during lunch on a Friday. Additionally, I was surprised by the significant price increases. If things don't change, it seems like this restaurant might soon have new ownership.

Being from Colorado, I was looking for good Hatch New Mexico green chili and this was the winner. I ode the chips and sampler dips and I loved them all. The green chili was excellence and the red chili was also surprisingly good. I will definitely beback!

I might give it another chance if I'm in the area again. On a positive note, the restaurant was very clean, and the service was excellent.
