Porthmellin Cafe - Helston

We visited this dog-friendly café today, run by some incredibly friendly ladies. The current owner’s grandmother opened the café in 1947. We enjoyed two bowls of delicious soup, followed by a lovely cream tea for two. It was very affordable and tasted amazing!

What an absolute jewel of a Cornish tea room, so friendly and welcoming. we visited some paintings when we were on the road from the harbour. the roasted sandwiches are delicious, packed with ingredients and so filling. we have also experienced the cream tees that another must have! if they visit mullion cove or in the opposite, they really have to pay a visit. we'll see you next year. happy heidi (sadly not susie sparkels) sean and nathan

We visited Mullion today and stopped by Porthmellin Cafe. The staff were lovely and very friendly. The food was delicious, making the visit well worth it.

Excellent service and good food. we had crab sandwiches made to house suppee and cornish heavy cake. all excellent. the personal was very clear about the essential disorder of my daughter.

Don’t let the plain exterior deter you; the delightful experience inside is truly worth it!
