Bywater Oyster Grill - Helena

This was our first visit to the restaurant, recommended by a couple of people. After our visit i assure you we will continue visiting this restaurant, if you like oysters, best ever. the food was absolutely outstanding.

Everything was fantastic. Chicken, oysters, crab cakes, fish. Quality far outweighed what we paid. Large portions, drinks were great also.

Small menu but everything our group had was delicious. Oysters, calamari and the shrimp/fried green tomatoes appetizers were really good. Wait staff knowledgeable and very friendly.

Excellent seafood restaurant. The oysters were extraordinary. Very fresh and large. The ducks were the best in birmingham for seafood. We have a house in Gulf Shores, and I can say that this restaurant is the best in this area.

Once we set ourselves, it took another 15 minutes before someone even came to the table to get our drink order. They were not busy just another couple was in the restaurant area and 4 people were sitting at the bar. It took an additional hour to get our appetizer and another 45 minutes later to get our main course. My plate was $30 and had no taste at all! My sister food was cold and my mothers red beans and rice were unusable (taste as it was used in vinegar) my husband got chicken finger that he said was good. The staff was apologetic that it took so long, but I can't even say that the food was worth waiting.
