Thanaphon Küche - Heidelberg

Gosh, I almost forgot abut this place but I was glad I checked in. During my Germany trip and got a little tired of knuckles and sausages, I found this sweet Thai place around where I stayed. My travel buddy loved this place so much cuz of the interior design was very thai. Foodwise was alright. We came to a night quite quiet so the owner lady had a good talk with us. I was impressive with this Thai place in a small town in Germany. It was rated good and I endorse the rating!

Needing a thai fix after some heavy European meals this definitely hit the spot the tempura vegetables were light and crunchy. The duck breast was moist and delicious and the accompanying vegies a little bland but did tie everthing together. Tha thsi green curry wss fragrant and refreshing. Thanks for looking after a couple of weary aussies.

Delicious Thai food and nice atmosphere, but the papaya salad was perhaps the spiciest thing I've ever eaten in my life. I think they should tone down the spiciness of that salad. The presentation of the food is really nice, but watch out when using the serving spoon because it gets extremely hot from the plates sitting over a candle. The place seems really popular and they have some local beers on tap which is great. It took a while to get our check at the end of the evening.

Great Thai in Heidelberg. Very convenient as I was staying in the Crowne Plaza. I like the very intimate setting and family feeling that the restaurant has. There was a little bit of a wait but I only had to wait a few minutes. Took a little while to get my drink ordered. I ordered a caiprihana which did not taste like a caiprihana at all. Can't blame them it's a Thai place but I felt like it was a super lime cocktail for €6.50. To start I got chicken satay with peanut sauce. The chicken was very juicy and cooked just right and the peanut sauce was heaven. I could've just eaten a plate of that for dinner. My dinner was fried duck with vegetables. The whole dinner was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Deliciously crisp vegetables. Service was very friendly, wish they were a little more attentive but I am overall very satisfied and would come here again if I lived here.

Horrible service. The woman waitress was RUDE and forced us to order another dish/ water. Took us until AFTER our dishes came out for them to give us utensils. Waitress threw the utensils at us. Such horrible service mediocre food. Do not recommend if you want good Thai food.
