Essighaus - Heidelberg

Great German food and beers with an extensive menu also including vegetarian and fish options. The outside terrace is nice, but inside didn't seem inviting. If I ever want to go to a typical German restaurant in Heidelberg and weather permits sitting outside, then Essighaus is ideal.

Essighaus is a Germans German restaurant. Very much a place of the locals, and for good reason. The food and beer is excellent with a nice changing daily menu. Seasonal changes in beer and food are welcome.

Hidden in the middle of Heidelberg, this a old fashion restaurant frequented by locals. The menu has more than 300 options of many local and international dishes. Don’t miss out the little garden if you want to dine outdoors!

The absolute best German dinner I ever had. the prices are reasonable, portioning huge and eating is openly amazing. would definitely recommend!
