Sweet Bistro Hedemora

Tried the place for lunch on a weekday. The buffet was ok, with two meat-based dishes (chicken with mushroom sauce and minced meat patties with baked vegetables) and two side dishes (jasmine rice and baked potatoes). The salad bar was also ok. The outdoor seating area is nice and the lunch price is very good (99 kr).

Nice place with a variety of food that goes along with the name i.e. bistrostyle! The fries were crispy and tasty and the burger was also good! They also have pizza and a few other dishes on the menu and they have a smaller sortiment of beer and wine.

This is sad to have to rate so low, as the atmosphere is comfortable and the workers polite and nice... but those are the only good things here: The food is VERY pricey, $10 89SEK) for a single waffle and about the same for a toast. I ordered the avocado toast. Unfortunately, while the toast looked absolutely stunning with amazing presentation, the taste and quality just isn't here... The bread was stale, and the flavor was bland... All I could taste was bland paste with a hint of garlic and burnt bread. Secondly, it took half an hour to actually make the toast... and I was the only person in the entire café. By the time I got my food, my coffee was cold : Thirdly, none of the pastries were marked with a price which makes the shop feel a bit shadey. I thought maybe had just opened but they opened in July, 2020. Lastly, there was a lot of dust on the tables and the floor and the whole café just ended up feeling pretty unclean. I came here hopeful but was left simply disappointed. Sorry to say, but I won't come back and neither should any of you. Stay safe out there.

Great ice cream! I chose basil and it was unexpectedly good. And the cones, heavenly good!
