When I inquired about whether the WiFi had changed, the woman at the counter responded, “I don’t know.” I asked if she could find out, and after she stepped out back to ask someone, she returned about five minutes later to inform me that it had indeed changed, but they didn’t know the new password. What frustrated me the most was her rudeness. It felt as though she and the team didn’t want customers to linger and work over a cup of coffee. It’s puzzling, especially since the cafe is rarely busy. It’s not like they have a space issue. In the end, I decided to leave.
This place is fantastic! As soon as you walk in, the enticing aroma of chocolate surrounds you. They offer a wide variety of delicious, high-quality dark chocolate bars, featuring seasonal flavors and unique collaborations with distilleries such as High West. The café also serves Pink Elephant Coffee, which is locally roasted and absolutely delicious. We tried the sipping chocolate flight, which was incredibly rich and diverse; it consists of single-origin chocolates with different tasting notes, rather than flavored varieties, and is far from your typical hot chocolate.
Amazing staff and delicious drinks!!! Every chocolate fans' checklist destination.
Just delicious and unique! Anytime I'm in the Salt Lake City area, I take the lovely drive up Provo Canyon for a stop here. Chocoletier and coffeehouse. When you get a Mocha, you have a choice of a variety of gourmet specialty chocolate. I also ordered the 2 oz sipping chocolate. Incredibly rich, can taste the different notes and layers of flavor. Shared the matcha strudel, rich and delicious. The team member who helped us was very friendly and kind. Great experience!!! Oh...and taste the chocolate ? bars and buy one. You won't regret it!! They also have an events room.
As a long-time fan of Pink Elephant Ritual, I was stoked to finally get out to this new space. Service, unfortunately, was by far less than ideal. Experience breakdown below. I’ll give the cafe another try as I make it a priority to support local. The absolute worst is when a cafe has Pour Over on the menu and the Barista makes it clear by their sour attitude that they are inconvenienced by questions about the offerings. The barista made it clear that the drip was “just brewed” before giving a rushed breakdown of the Tanzania and the Colombian, during which I was never looked at, so I decided to make the visit shorter than intended and went with the natural process Costa Rican. The barista was kind enough to give me a small on the house, with the caveat that they “were just about to close anyway”, another clue that my patronage was an inconvenience. Maybe it was because I was unfamiliar or it was mid-afternoon, either way the guy and others who came in after were treated as friends and they were more than happy to let someone taste a pour over. Felt very locals only welcome. Hopefully next experience will be better.Natural Costa Rica on drip was well roasted, full bodied with a solid sweetness. Beautiful setting in Heber Valley, WiFi available.
