La Porchetta - Heathmont

This restaurant is a must-visit for families looking for a break from cooking. We have been here about 10 times over the years and recently had another great meal and experience. The restaurant caters to every sports club in the area and has a strong sense of community. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be back.

I dined in this restaurant approx. 9 months ago, the staff who took our order didn't seem too friendly, and seemed disinterested, it took some time for our meals to arrive, and I felt that the meals were overpriced, Ive never been back again.

We go to this La Porchetta often, though usually for takeaway. When we do eat in the food and service are always great. The pastas are delicious.

We always go to La Porchettas when we want a quick tasty reasonably priced meal and this is the first time we had been to the Heathmont restaurant. The initial waitress we had was terrible and it seemed too much for her to take our order and the initial words of 'what do you want' when taking our order turned me off. We always order a 'special' pasta dish that is not on the menu and never have trouble at any other restaurant and for her it was simply 'no', we can't do that. We then asked for a dish on the the menu and made some changes which then ended up making the 'special' dish and that was not a problem which made us smile. Pizzas are reasonably priced at around $18 for a large, all meals are a decent size and tasty and there is a great variety to choose from. We had a second waitress that came over after a while who was excellent so the initial waitress must have been having a bad night and upset she was working on Valentines day. Overall a good experience and tasty food. Enjoy.

We have visited this restaurant twice recently and have been let down both times. Upon entering, it is clear that the establishment is lacking in energy. The decor appears worn and cheap, with cramped tables and an uninteresting menu. The staff seem tired and unenthusiastic. The pizzas we ordered were bland and unmemorable, with a thin crust and an overwhelming amount of raw garlic. Despite our disappointment with the main course, we took a chance on dessert and were pleasantly surprised by the sticky date pudding. However, unless the owners make significant improvements, we will not be returning to this lackluster restaurant.
