Heathcote Fish & Chips

After a hard slog through the bush we were out of supplies and starving.

Was on the way to Wollongong and found this on TripAdvisor, it was delicious, tasty batter and very affordable. Kids love it and adults have happy tummy. Not many seating so come early or take away. There's a small nearby tiny park with public toilet 100 meters from there.

Been going to this shop on and off over the years when one goes to the Gong and back , few different owners in that time .The latest owners have taken the time to raise the standard , and presentation of this establishment , with music in background 40's style , clean appearance and good customer service , Overall a great improvement since last owner and the meal I had was not one for the seagulls .Shame that they have not supported an Australia chip producers and have sourced frozen chips from New Zealand which become crunchy but lack fluffy potato inside but that there choice and seems popular with patrons .Overall one of the better fish and chip shops in area .

Very reasonably priced local fish and chip takeaway! Has changed hands quite a few times over the years but the present owners seem to be making a good go of it! They cook to order either grilled, battered or crumbed seafood and very good chips in several combinations of packs.

Popped in here unexpectedly for an after school snack with my son and was blown away by the amazing potato scallops and chips. They were amazing and we can't wait to go back and try the other menu items. The shop is so clean and tidy, the salads were super fresh looking and so many great menu items to try. It's a shame there aren't more great fish and chip places like this around Sydney, but I know where I will be travelling to now to get any fish and chips! It's worth the travel!!
