Headingley Grill

Not many places these days have your typical ma and pa diner, we stopped here for lunch, my husband had the fish and chips, I had Tomato soup with grill cheese, it was good, prices also good. the waitress was prompt and friendly. Lots of choices on the menu, even liver and onions.

Went for poutine as they have a menu just for poutine but ended up ordering chicken finger dinner and had them make poutine instead of fries. Quick service even though they were closing in 30 minutes they never made us feel rushed.

Huge portions. Let's just get that out there up front. This is NOT fancy, but it's one of those places that you find in small towns, old school, but with really good food. Prices are good, but it gets busy for breakfasts.

Great home cooking. Everything tastes just like your Mom made it. Hopiefully your Mom was a great cook. Breakfasts are plentiful. Good coffee. But don't go on a Sunday morn. Place is always packed. Burgers, but their own pizza is over loaded, thin crust. The 18 incher burger pizza was great. Feed 4 and with left overs. Their T-bone steak night cooked to the exact doness and price is great. Desserts are good. Salads are huge and the staff is ver accomandating..

I traveled to my moms in Headingly by bus one Christmas. I was expecting and the bus dropped me off here to wait to be picked up. I was the first customer at opening, it was early morning. The waitress was happy and very polite, I enjoyed the "diner" feel to it I love that.
