D'amato's Wood Fire Pizza - Hazleton

The pizza and salads here are amazing! I ordered today, and the chicken Caesar salad is the best I've ever had.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. If I could give a negative rating, I would. First of all, a stromboli is supposed to have sauce inside, but this one did not. Secondly, I could barely find any meat in it. And as for the cheese—what on earth was that? The only redeeming aspect was the bread. I really miss the food from Philly; this cuisine is just so different.

I've been working locally and have eaten at this restaurant several times, always enjoying the food. Occasionally, it can be a bit challenging to communicate with the cook due to a slight language barrier, but I've found this is common in many Italian-style eateries. There's a bar on the right side of the pizzeria and a convenience shop on the left, all connected by inner doors. This makes me think that all three establishments are owned by the same person.
