I have a lot of respect for the young Asian man who works there. When I was in a hurry yesterday and asked how long my order would take, he confidently said 4 minutes. I was amazed at how accurate his estimate was, as most restaurants give approximate times that end up being longer than expected. But true to his word, my order was ready in exactly 4 minutes, including packaging. It was truly impressive and showed a great deal of respect for the customer's time. The young man must have done a lot of preparation in the kitchen to make that happen. The boss of the restaurant should consider giving him a raise for his excellent service. It was the first time someone had promised such a quick turnaround time for my food, and it was greatly appreciated. PS. If you ever consider a career change, maybe think about becoming a bus driver - the buses will never be late with your punctuality! Keep up the hard work, it is truly appreciated.
Newly opened so I am giving you 3 starts or else maybe 1. Why? Here:Use gloves everytime preparing the food. I saw my chickens getting touched by a cashier.
I never post about restaurants. I love the yangnyum and I had not eaten at this Vons. I came in on Saturday 5/13 around 6:30. It was such a disappointment. The chicken was almost nonexistent. Super thin and not big juicy pieces like I have had in Dublin and in Berkeley area. It looked like they had pounded chicken flat with a mallet first. It was a little ridiculous to be honest for a $16 order. There wasn’t a lot of sauce either. Very, very light sauce which is sort of funny considering the name of the dish and definitely not what I am used to with this dish. Sauce it up guys and use bigger chicken! I would give it another shot but I kinda wonder if the poor quality and the wait had anything to do with the awkward tipping moment?I go to pay and at the end of the transaction the cashier spins the register screen. The screen is in Korean. I normally would tip but I am taking it to go A. and B. I just couldn’t read the screen. Usually I just enter a dollar amount with the custom tip button but I couldn’t find it in this case. I couldn’t figure out how to continue and it was getting a little awkward. I had to ask him, “I dont know what this says. what would you like me to do?” They seemed nice. Maybe they will make it right. The photo is of just breading. Very sad plate. My stomach kinda hurt after eating it. Hopefully thats just the breading bubbling. A little burnt and a little concerned.
This place serves Korean fried chicken. There is no indoor seating, just basic drinks available. It feels more like a take-out joint than a restaurant, and they don't offer many side dishes. The parking is convenient as it's located in a strip mall with a large parking lot.
Love Vons chicken! My favorite Korean friend chicken spot in the Bay Area. Can't go wrong with any of the crispy fried options, and I just tried the honey butter option recently, so good! Perfectly crispy on the outside, super juicy on the inside.
