Louie's Landing - Hayward

I had my first visit to Louise's, and it was fantastic! The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the location right by the lake was excellent.

The atmosphere and staff are fantastic. The beach and swim platform are incredible, and you can dine outdoors on the lovely lawn with a view of the lake. They also have excellent soda options for kids. Please note that they are closed on Mondays.

We arrived at the restaurant at 8:40 PM, not realizing that the kitchen closes at 8:30 PM—something we missed on the website, which only mentioned a closing time of 2 AM. Unfortunately, this led to a frustrating experience, especially since my wife was hungry. Afterward, I saw their response mentioning they serve pizza after the kitchen closes, but the man who turned us away didn’t mention this at all. He had ample opportunity to share that information, so it feels like the staff just didn’t want to make the pizza. Overall, I’m feeling quite annoyed with this place now.

We were here once 7 years ago and waited a long time for our food. Thought it was a fluke so tried it again. Nope, not a fluke. Waited 60 full minutes for a party of 4 when there was only another party of 4 in the bar. That being said, food was hot. My AuJus was salty but every else?s food was great. Place is cute. Bartender was very pleasant. Small town feel. If you?re starving,don?t go here and if you do go, just know that waiting for your food is the norm. Would have given it more stars if it wasn?tfor the extreme wait.

Jack's is fantastic! This restaurant offers excellent Wi-Fi, and their chicken strips are incredibly tasty! Plus, it's conveniently located right by beautiful Moose Lake, and the boat launch is only $5.00.
