A happy surprise in the Middle West! We thought it was a Saturday dinner with 17 family members. There was a good selection of dishes for children and adults. I was impressed by the seafood. The staff was very attentive and friendly.
We were there in the middle of the afternoon and they made fresh food for only the four of us. Will eat there again!
I enjoy buffet restaurants, but this could be an improvement, so hopefully they will read this and do better. I eat here only the evenings and about 70% of the time when my family comes to the vehicle to go here, we go directly past because there are no cars there (some park in the back because of the bad parking restricted area). It is obvious that if you go in the slow nights, all food is OLD and has been sitting out since lunch and is dried out and overcrowded. I don't think this is allowed by food regulations. If you can come there on a busy evening, then at least a few options have been replaced and have fresh food. If you bring new food, you have to eat the pan of OLD lunch and throw it away. Do NOT mix in the hot and fresh boiled food with the old leftover lunch! We have also observed that the server takes its personal drinking cup after it has used it and shake with it ice cream to refill its drink. On several occasions, the family she operates is very loud and it is very disturbing to eat guests as you ask yourself what goes on in the back. For the last week or two, their outer sign is not illuminated and makes it look like they were closed in the evening so that does not help stop customers. You do not need to fill 40 buffet tablets with food to make me happy, I would be good with you, only with at least a few hot and cold items that are popular with your guests and at least fresh for dinner quantity. As it is now, there is a lot of food on their four buffet lines, but some evenings I'm hard pressed to even get a product for my dish that I'm sure to eat. Dessert used to be good as they neat ice aromas and a house made hot apple cake roll. The roll is no longer served and the ice cream is simple... chocolate, vanilla, strawberry. ... Who wants these simple flavors? I have been eating here for many years and it is basically the same exact same selection of foods. It would be nice to see a kind of rotation or night with a special food item to change it something. Finally, they do not show their prices or give you a detailed entrance. How much do they charge for children? Are adult buffet drinks included? Did they set the tip you said? I don't know. You only take your card and perform a figure on it and if you ask them for a reception that they give will only show the total amount calculated on your card.
Some good food. Some food probably rotten. We went during dinner time on a Thursday, and there were 2 or 3 other groups of people. Some of the food was good. The mandarin oranges were possibly rotten. They left a tingle on your tongue. The little cakes were extremely stale. The cream cheese in the cream cheese wantons was dry and crusty. The fried rice looked and tasted like uncooked rice that was soaked in soy sauce. I wanted it to be good, and if it were like $7, it would be worth it if you know what to avoid. But for $10, go get good Chinese food anywhere else.
