Gambino's Pizza - Hays

Update: After receiving feedback from Gambino’s, I want to mention that my four-star rating is primarily due to the interior showing some age. The bricks near the booths are deteriorating or missing, and some minor repairs and updates would elevate it to a five-star experience. However, this won't deter me from returning. Parking tip: Take the back exit leading to 22nd Street to avoid the vines; it's much safer and easier. As for kid-friendliness, we usually go for dinner when it’s a bit quieter, and taking our toddlers works out just fine. Thin crust cheese pizza definitely gets my vote!

Terrible service that is incredibly rude and the prices are exorbitant. They had dry, old pizza just sitting out, and when I asked for a fresh one, they acted like it was a huge inconvenience. You also can't take any leftover food from your plate home. I witnessed the manager throw away a woman's partially eaten pizza just because she intended to take it with her. It was unacceptable.

When I tried to take four pieces of the calzone home, a staff member came over, took my box, and told me I couldn’t take it to go. I reminded him that they offer a takeout buffet and that I was only taking a few slices. He then threw my box in the trash. We will definitely not be returning! My friends and I used to spend at least $40 there weekly, but that’s over now. The staff is rude, and the pizzas aren't kid-friendly or suitable for picky eaters. The salad bar is often half rotten and empty too. They take your money without any care for the customer experience. I really hope someone opens a new pizza buffet in Hays! Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else!

Gambinos is the best pizza in the area by far, an absolute must try for visitors. This location specifically is one of the better ones, better than the one in colby anyways. All the staff seem nice, the dining room is old but clean, wish more restaurants were still decorated like this.

We have eaten there in the past and enjoyed, but last night was very irritating. We ordered a large pizza and a deluxe spaghetti through the app. We waited the allotted time and went to pick up but were told they forgot to make it. They said it would be a few minutes. We waited and waited. My husband decided he wanted to cancel and went to tell them and they finally gave him the food, 25 minutes after our scheduled pickup time with a quick, Sorry for the wait . The food was good. The service was very disappointing.
