Gilmer Road House - Hawthorn Woods

The pizza was excellent. Sauce-Great, crust-Great, cheese overflow. It is a classic tavern and it was always at this point. Now I understand why. You know something about a great pizza. We have the mozzarella sticks and they were also great. We called in the order, it was done in time and the bartender attacked us. Very recommended.

The first time I was here. Pizza is spectacular. Hot, fresh and cooked for perfection. Service was excellent. Some people were hammered, but they were just drunk, not rude. I loved the thin crust pizza. Best pizza I ever had.

I never stopped at Gilmer Road House, but I heard the pizza was good. Two ordered for delivery. Although I live at the outer edge of their delivery radius, they have drilled my pizzas here in less than 60 minutes hot. The pizza was great. I will definitely be a continuous customer. Friendly service.

We will definitely see Wes and the band at Gilmer Road House again when we are on a jaunt away from home on Chicago's North Side. These people know the true meaning of hospitality. But even if they weren't so warm and wonderful, we would come for food! Fabulous menu and talented kitchen.

Outstanding food and decent selection of drinks. Most of the food and starters are made fresh. Very friendly owners/ staff members. Recommended for lunches and after work appetizers, drinks or even for Friday night out.
