The Red Lion - Haverhill

During our visit to the Red Lion in Strumer, Suffolk, we arrived just as they were wrapping up their lunch menu, but we were still able to place an order. The fish, chips, and mushy peas we chose were absolutely delicious, and the portion size was quite generous for a reasonable price. The Red Lion is a lovely pub, brimming with charm and character, and the staff were wonderful. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

Today for lunch, I had a ciabatta, chips, and salad, and the portions were massive! The location is lovely, with seating available both indoors and outdoors. The staff is friendly and attentive. They offer generous portions and are knowledgeable about gluten-free options. It's definitely worth a visit!

We stopped by for a few drinks in the beautifully renovated garden, and we couldn't be happier with the new owners—what a stroke of luck for us! I'm sure we'll be returning often!

To lunch with my beautiful girl. Total. ! absolutely great service and wonderful food. the red lion is, unfortunately, soon under new management and the new owners have a **** high standard to strive! can I be naughty and say that our chef goes back for the day to build, good for him but, jesus, sure because 's someone (please have gott within 30 minutes drive from here) who can best express him his talented in a kitchen?

Food always good here It is proper cooked (not heated up) pub grub, that's big on taste. Decent portions too. The beer could be a a little colder in my opinion. If busy can take a while, but shows that it cooked properly
