I had the most delicious cheese and chutney panini that I tried unsuccessfully to duplicate at home, and a selection of salads. I wish I would live closer so I could come back and enjoy the caffe more often.
A must when visiting the castle is a meal or snack in the restaurant. A good sitting area inside and out. Tasty food some of which is Spanish themed due to the lady owner being Spanish. One of the rooms is themed as a Spanish bodega see pics and some nights this is used for Spanish nights.
Absolutely scrumptious home made Spanish dishes!!!! The salmon and chorizo fiduea was to die for!!! The whole of Picton Castle is worth the visit!
So much to see and do. If you are a carer you will need id of this. There was so much to see and do. Very wheelchair friendly, bumpy at times along some of the paths. When you pay you get a map of the groups with all the information on. Restrooms: Plenty of toilets situated around the grounds. Very well kept Dog-friendliness: Dogs are to be on leads, but saw plenty while there. Picnic area: There is a restaurant and seating area outside.
Beautiful gardens, lovely house although only a few rooms are open. Will visit again if I'm ever that way again. Staff all helpful.
