We had an enjoyable lunch on the patio at The Station! I wanted to eat healthy so ordered the Nico's Authentic Greek Salad which was accompanied by grilled pita bread and tzatziki. The vegetables were very fresh with flavourful tomtoes, lots of feta and a...lovely dressing! My husband liked his thin crust supreme pizza; the sauce had a unique flavour which we liked. We did have a bit of food envy when we saw the corned beef sandwich at a neighbouring table! Our excellent waitress made our experience a 5 star!
I wasn't able to try the food at this restaurant because after waiting for 15 minutes (and being the only customers), we decided to leave. We ordered drinks and observed two waiters watching videos on their phones instead of attending to us. Eventually, one of the waitresses apologized and angrily asked what we wanted. When we asked for the bill for our drinks, the waitress seemed annoyed. It was a disappointing experience and we don't recommend this place. It's best to avoid it.
While the server is almost always excellent, something happens in the back that ruins the experience. tonight, her steak night, I ordered the special and was very disappointed. the steak was quite fat and had much too much sinus and gristle. Almost 1/3 of the...steak was inequitable. when I told the server, I was not satisfied that she was going out. as if it were directed to it. the accompanying pleasure also left much to be desired. they were mostly undercooked carrot rings, with some very tiny pfeffer and mushrooms. the french were plentiful, but understated. I am disappointed because I take part in this street house at least once a week. I wish they would improve their back of the house and that the owner would take these reviews seriously. it's obvious he doesn't.
Stopped at the Station Restaurant on the way home from Sharbot Lake Provincial Park with my son and daughter. Enjoyed the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich and the Station Burger served by our wonderful waitress, Shawna. Great spot for history and train bluffs. The patio is...beside active (but not busy) railway tracks.
