La Vitrola - Havana

Great place for late night dinner and drinks! Our server was attentive, funny and very nice. Helpful with everything, even tho she didn’t speak fluent English. Had a live band playing the night we were there. They created such fun atmosphere, half the bar/restaurant was dancing! Food was very reasonably priced, big portions (my fiancée loved the lamb stew). Good cocktails and local beer! I highly recommend the place!

The waitress was very nice and attentive but her boss or supervisor either had a problem with me or her. There was a live band that night and my guess is he wanted a single person taking up a table to eat and leave. He didn't seem to like how I was lounging with my arm up on the oversized classic car seat. Either way, it encouraged me to leave early. The food was good but not excellent but I felt prices were fair for a primarily tourist restaurant. Despite being very busy the food came out quickly. I ordered the fried pork bites, the serving size seemed a little small but I was full at the end. I probably won't return just for food, or at all, but I still feel that it's worth giving a chance if you're a tourist in Old Havana. The 50s decor was fun and ostentatious and the atmosphere was lively and intimate.

I have been twice on that place. Food was ok on the first time. On the second visit fish was not fresh. The waiter will try to recommend you some dishes which are the most expensive. The reason is their salary is the percentage of that this they have cell to you. So be careful choose what you like to. The place has really nice live music and dance performance. Food is tasty when its fresh. I would definitely go again even just for live performance. The place is in center of old Havana. Secure and safe.

Great atmosphere with live music. The food was ok. Nice place to drink a beer during a hot day.

Nicely decorated cozy restaurant, both outdoor indoor sittings. They have English menu, waitress speaks English helpful. We had lunch there on Sunday, it was very busy. We had Grilled chicken breast grilled fish both were served with rice; Tamale. Food is delicious, service is good fast. US$ exchange was 180 pesos.
