El Floridita - Havana

It was transformed into a popular cocktail spot by Catalan inventor Constant Ribalaigua i Vert, known as Constant, who introduced over 200 rum-based cocktails in the 1920s. It's truly a place where history and innovation come together to create a unique experience.

I was hesitant to try out this impressive bar-restaurant located nearby, as I initially thought it was more catered towards an older crowd. However, on my last day in town after exploring everywhere else, I decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised by the charming atmosphere and exceptional service - it felt like I was no longer in Cuba. The staff were incredibly attentive and provided the best service I had experienced during my stay in this renowned country. I was truly blown away by the experience at this hidden gem.

The Floridita gained worldwide fame thanks to the writer and journalist Ernest Hemingway, who has a statue erected at the bar where he used to sit. It is believed to be the birthplace of the daiquirí.
