Trattoria Il Ritrovo - Hattingen

Yesterday evening we were spontaneous in this place. From the outside, it was more likely to deceive the impression of a quick snack. The guest room offers space for around 20 guests and as it filled more and more, there is a reservation here. All meals are also sold out of the house. We brought the menus and were immediately referred to the offers offered seasonally and therefore not on the map. These included fresh fish, self-made band noodles and fresh shells in two kinds of sauces. We chose a pizza and mussels in white wine sauce. In advance, 6 pizza rolls were served with a homemade herbal butter, which were quite delicious. Short time later the main course came. The pizza was nicely thin the tomato sauce super tasted and abundantly covered in total. The mussels were served in a large terrine with a lot of sauce and the portion was also nice to be filled. Immediately, if there are still pizza rolls for the sauce, they should be enough. As this was an open kitchen, you could see the preparation of the dishes. Prices are completely reasonable for the local. As a single point of criticism it would be worth mentioning that many drinks were offered to us, which were not to be found on the menu. However, since the menu is identical only to the dimensions larger than the other house card, I would recommend a separate beverage card for the restaurant operation here. All in all, I can recommend the Trattoria with the best conscience.

Even though the Trattoria looks more like a pizzeria, it convinces inside with very good Italian dishes with a very family atmosphere. Franco prepares wonderful pizza and pasta, but also has fish and meat dishes on the menu. The dishes are always fresh and the service is very attentive and friendly. Since there are only a few tables, a reservation is urgently required.

We are great fans of this small, fine Trattoria! You sit there comfortably in a family atmosphere and have a look at the many fresh treats behind the glass counter and the work area in which Franco always prepares all food with a lot of love. There is something for really every taste, my favourite is number 30; everything is freshly prepared, extra wishes are also no problem at all. A table reservation is advisable as the places in the small Trattoria are limited. In summer you can also sit outside. All are very friendly there, we always feel welcome! Also in our holiday planning for Bella Italia we were all cordial with advice and deed : surely try an espresso there! One of the best I ever drank!

Food is always freshly prepared, by the way, noodles are mainly made home and their Vitelo Tornato is world class.
