Portillo's Hot Dogs - Harwood Hts

Always great food! Passed by last time when they were about to close. They got our order wrong initially, but then they corrected it and gave us a free cake.

Never go any time close to the close of day. And no it wasn't right at close. We went 30 minutes prior to and they messed up the entire order. None of the food was as ordered and the hot dog bun were so wet they were like paste. I understand you have to clean up and close but we only ordered hots dogs and burgers.

Not all what people say it is. Mediocre food in my opinion

I love their food but the drive thru is horrible. Waited 30 minutes and was still 15 cars away from the order window. No one was walking to the cars to take orders. With the pace that the cars were moving I would have to be there for over an hour. Again I love their food and always get great service inside but the drive thru needs work.

Clean place. Only downfall. Second time I come to this place and the strawberry shortcake is OLD. I think is an item that doea not sell. There has to be dates put on it. Cakes do expire. The cake was hard.and the whipped cream was dry. How can whip cream be dry? All things are possible. I do hope they change and start using labels for items that sit in a fridge. The gentlemen at the place gave me a card to come for next time for the inconvenience.
