I got a cupcake to try for the first time (Monday 8th) and I was blown away with how moist it was, absolutely delicious, it tasted professionally made….are they?! I went back for another I honestly couldn’t help myself. I was served by a lovely polite girl with long dark hair, smiling constantly and made sure we had everything we needed. Such amazing customer service despite the miserable weather. I got a tuna toastie with side salad, and it was wonderfully packed, not too much tuna where it over powers the cheese and vice-versa. My partner got the BLT and said it was lovely (we usually get a hot beef bun pie but fancied something different) Our little one was acting up, hissing and whining as we arrived and the girl serving us went above and beyond and stopped him from crying just by saying hello, and making conversation. She advised us you sell duck food??? I didn't know you sold that! However the girl suggested the duck food and told my son to “feed the birdies after he ate all of his Kids Box”, HE ATE ALMOST ALL OF IT MINUS THE CRISPS the girl is a miracle worker If you’re reading this, thank you so much I know you know who you are Again the dark haired girl served me, mentioning again to give this girl a raise what a wonderful girl!!!
I went in with family for some lunch. There was a nice calm atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. We ordered a toastie, a pork and stuffing sandwich and 2 scones. The food was lovely and we had full plates. We also ordered some lattes and my sister is dairy free, they went out of their way to make sure it was dairy free. Will be returning, thank you.
Hi took my mam for lunch (mam in a wheelchair) we received a lovely welcoming smile from the staff, Angie and Demi who served us that day were very friendly and polite, they went out of their way to chat to my mam, who loved the attention. Cafe display looked lovely and our lunch was delicious. Thankyou! X
I was a bit wary of popping in here due to a recent bad review , but I'm so glad I did , after walking around the park with my friend we decided to pop in for a coffee and an England cake ! The weather was awful so we took shelter in this little gem of a place , the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us , the coffee was hot and the cake delicious, will make this a regular stop on my walk from now on !
We visit here several times a week only because of my little one wanting treats ice cream, drinks, sweets etc after school when at the park. To be honest I find the place overly priced for some of the items especially the sweet packets they make up putting a couple of packets of small haribo, a small lolly a few chews charging £1.50 then if you buy it in the clear tub for the same items it’s £3. Rip off really. My little one has had the cupcakes several times they have been dry each time and flung in the bin. I would consider putting out more quality over quantity. The counter area looks rammed. Maybe re think change it up, making it more appealing. We seem to get charged different prices for ice cream when we go. Moving on, the staff.. my god the owner is gorgeous friendly full of chatter smiles, however the rest of them.. not great!! I work in a very busy tearoom myself we give the most amazing speedy service with smiles greeting customers constantly. Not a single one can crack a smile nor greet anyone. Miserable absolutely no go in them. They all need a kick up the arse especially with the minimum rate at £11.44 now for the owner to be pulling out per hour they are bringing her cafe down. Hide out back when they can I think. Usually only one serving, never at a fast pace always queues, you need two out front especially during your busy periods. Waiting times are a pain in the arse especially with an autistic child kicking off. I usually get an oat milk latte, that’s not too bad. However I ordered a tea one for take out and it was dish water. Safe to say I asked for another done better. What tea bags do you use by the way? The overall decor is not my cup of tea, it could be a lot better tbh. We have been in the kids party room several times over the years I have never once thought to hire it because I find it very tatty not appealing at all. Sorry it all appears bad but a completely honest review. Instead of making cakes, get your staff brushed up start making a few more appealing changes. From a local mammy, who has no choice to return weekly. Let’s make some changes.
