The Russell - Hartford

We went out for dinner as couples on this night. A couple of issues with the drinks, but they were remedied. Lots of good food and it tasted really good (jerk wings, jerk calamari, brown stew red snapper)! Warm ambience with good music playing. Plans to revisit another day and time!

It was a great experience I had tons of fun! The food was top tier, the server was amazing. The only thing I would change is the loudness of the music at times, as many people in the area were talking on top of their lungs in order to hear each other and it was extremely loud.But other than that great place, great vibes! Parking: Parking is right across the street or next to the building, very convenient!

The Russell's hosted my wife's 60 birthday party this past weekend.I would like to extend my appreciation to owner and staff for a great night.The food and service was amazing. Everyone at the party had a great time. I would like to shout out Nicole she was there from the beginning planning and was the hostess at the party what great service. I will definitely recommend the Russell's for any event. Thanks again.Gary Davis

Bartender added on gratuity without showing us the receipt then displayed the option to tip additionally on the card reader (we ordered a couple of things so we hadn’t been sure about the initial total). Afterward, We waited 45 minutes for half our food (literally wings and mac) that never came , then after a long wait at the bar to ask where it was, were told it wasn’t coming and they would give us a few drinks instead. At this point everyone in our party had already wanted to leave but no one was expecting to actually get a refund on a busy night. Waited forever for service and had to go back to the bar ourselves to find out our food wasn’t coming- it appeared the bartenders were relying on people being too busy or intoxicated to realize they were being ripped off . Would not recommend .

I understand you being busy, but to ignore a table because it was a misunderstanding and not serve them anything although twice you promised to send somebody, I’m good waited 1.0 hr for 3 drinks and mandatory tip at the bar .
