The proprietress of this very cozy restaurant / pub located in a converted older house was so very helpful. She gave me a whole list of places to check out and directions on how to get to each one. The beer was nice and cold. The entire place is finished from head to toe in a warm stained tongue and groove paneling, which is quaintly charming. It was a cool, dark place to get in out of the sweltering August heat.
Basic menu with good food. Comfortable atmosphere for a nice lunch with friends. Not easy to locate if you are not sure where it is so plan ahead and look at a map if you are not a local
Drifters is located in an older home right on the main street in this small southern Ontario town. Have driven by this place many times but today decided to join family members for some lunch. The place was not very busy when we arrived but gradually other customers wandered in. We ordered sandwiches which were very well prepared and tasty. The service was great and we certainly would return for another visit.
We used to go here several times a month then we moved away and don't get there as often. Elaine is soooo nice. The wings are great (says my husband) and her fatoush salad is yummy , but my favorite is still the jambalya- delicious! Can't wait to go back again.
So many choices. Service is freindly and efficient they make you feel like youve been regulars for years even on your first visit.Great job!
