This restaurant is full of charming old world vibes, with excellent service and delicious food. It's the perfect spot for a get together with friends. The average price per person is £20–30. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive top ratings of 5. We highly recommend trying the Fish & Chips.

Our party of 5 was extremely pleased with lunch at The Malt Shovel in Brearton. The food, including starters and mains for everyone, was excellent, all perfectly made up and delicious. Accompanied by proper local ales and a few glasses of good wine. The service from the staff was very pleasant, congenial, and professional, just the way a country pub should be. We were greeted by a warming wood fire and the occasional whiff of wood smoke, perfect for an Autumn day. And, all of the dishes were very reasonably priced. It was an absolutely superb afternoon, and we are all very happy to recommend The Malt Shovel to our friends and colleagues. Thank you folks for doing it so well!
