Sweetheart Tea Rooms - Harrogate

Had a wonderful cooked breakfast here this morning lovely produce and great service would definitely recommend xx

Popped in here whilst looking for a place to have a coffee. We ended up having the soup which was a great choice as it was warm, exceedingly tasty and very filling. The coffee was great, and the cake was out of this world. The owners could not do enough for us, but also left us alone when we were chatting away.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon after struggling to find anywhere else that was open and able to accommodate 4 adults, 4 children and 3 prams! The owner was so welcoming and understanding and didn't bat an eyelid when the rest of the family (another 7 adults and a dog! rocked up. We had ice cream and coffee and the churros were delicious . The cafe was decorated in a vintage style with comfy seating. The only thing to highlight is the entrance is up a flight of steps, we managed to get the pushchairs up, but it's not wheelchair accessible. Everything was reasonably priced and nothing was too much trouble for the owner (even when the dog kicked over his water bowl! . We were only in Pateley Bridge for the day, but if we visit again, we would definitely prioritise coming back here.

My partner and I were scheduled to stay at Sweetheart for 2 nights, but the morning we were supposed to travel, my partner tested positive for COVID. We were heartbroken, considering how careful we had been. I called to cancel our booking, which we had already paid for. Jonathan was incredibly kind and wished us a speedy recovery, and he promptly refunded our booking. It was a purely generous act of kindness on his part, and we will definitely be staying with them in the future. People like him should be cherished!

The restaurant owners, a warm and friendly couple, were extremely attentive to every detail and went out of their way to accommodate all of our requests. The breakfast they served was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in our group.
