Maharani - Harrogate

The food and service at this Indian restaurant in Ripon are excellent! A friend recommended it to us, and we were very impressed with our meals - I had the Jalfrazi and my wife had the Masala with rice and Naans. The prices are reasonable and the delivery was timely. We highly recommend this Indian restaurant to everyone! The food is delicious and the takeaway service is great.

On a Friday evening, my companions and I were surprised to find ourselves as the only customers in the restaurant. We had noticed it was busier earlier as we passed by on our way to the main square for a drink. The menu had a good variety of choices, the food was decent, although nothing exceptional, but the service was excellent.

We had a fantastic meal and called to express our gratitude for the delicious food and the warm reception from the owner. We will definitely be ordering from this restaurant again next week.

I had never tried this place before, always had a sit down in the restaurant next door. Wasn't expecting much tbh as the reviews were a bit mixed. Anyway I tried a Saturday evening takeaway, order included a Chana Ghoust, Handi Lamb, Bombay potatoes, mushroom bhaji, peshwari naan and rice. Have to say I was blown away how good it was, lots of flavour, good amount of heat but without blowing your head away. They even threw in a couple of poppadoms and mango chutney for free. Maybe I caught the good chef!, whatever it was darned good.
