Crown Grill - Harrogate

Walking through boroughbridge we stopped here for lunch nizza and old worldly with a decent menu we wanted a light lunch, so both went for leber and brandy pâté excellent choice of the part of the pâté was very nice stop

We visited here for lunch. On arrival the bar/restaurant was empty and we needed to contact the hotel receptionist to indicate that we had arrived. She immediately provided some menus and took an order for drinks. Another member of staff served the drinks and took...our food orders. The food was very good in quality and quantity but during our meal we observed two potential customers arrive and leave without ordering due to lack of staff attention. The person that served us was friendly enough but I had to locate them to obtain and again to pay the bill. These circumstances would not encourage us to return and must surely result in lost business

The meal was OK, couldn't really fault it except we like more meat. It was just lacking anything that would make us go back again.

Charming hotel, friendly staff, good food, parts quite old, has lots of local history, shame about the vibrations when the heavy lorries went past, can't be helped with it being on a main road.
