Boarshead Bistro - Harrogate

We stayed overnight so had dinner and breakfast both very tasty.really nice small hotel with everything you may need. I would definitely recommend a stay . Its situated in a lovely area good for walkers.

Very good food at very fair prices. Polite and friendly waiting staff. Great response to small issues raised. I had fish pie which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My wife had coronation pie which she loved. Pastry excellent. One of the very best meals we’ve had all week (at various restaurants in the area). Couldn’t fault it.

Lovely hotel and restaurant. Stayed for one night. Walked round ripley castle. Great parking at hotel. Room really lovely. Staff nice. Dinner was absolutely lovely, too much in quantity if anything. Breakfast was great too. Early checkout out on a Sunday morning but all in all beautiful stay

What a perfect find in a lovely location ,we had a room in the main building and what a room, big and bright with two sash windows large comfy bed and lovely bathroom ,we ate in the restaurant can recommend the roast beef dinner ,and the breakfast was just as good with nice welcoming staff the boars head is one to remember and return to when we are back in the area

Its been some years since we last ate here and we won 't be rushing back. Service was mixed some great staff and some so inexperienced that it spoilt our enjoyment. The food was 'ok ' fish and chips were good but the pork belly not so nice and the bruschetta frankly amateur. Wine list was interesting and some decent wine by the glass. The dining room atmosphere is dreadful. The pub area somewhat better. Sorry, I want places like this to do well, but this just isn 't good enough at the moment.
