We enjoyed our time there will definitely return. bit noisy, but not too bad. You could still carry on a conversation without yelling.
Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. Overbooked on Mother 's Day and blamed their third party booking service instead of taking accountability. 2hr+ wait for inedible food and on top of that, manager Mary is ALL over Facebook arguing with customers about their experiences bc she saw it differently . No accountability on her part, very unprofessional and makes the business look bad as a whole. She should be fired. Hostess was the ONLY nice person during the entire encounter. I will NEVER be back.
Be forewarned. Even though our reservation was confirmed with Open Table and via text from the Waterfall Cafe on Friday, I received a phone call at 8:00PM on Saturday, the night before our 10:15AM reservation for Mother’s Day, that they had overbooked and were cancelling our reservation. I find this totally unacceptable and very unprofessional. It was too late to find another restaurant. We chose the Waterfall Cafe because it was part of the Tavolo group. We have dined at the Smithfield and Warwick locations many times and have had great meals and service. I am very disappointed.
Extremely disappointed in my first experience at Waterfall cafe. Made Mother’s Day Brunch reservations weeks ago and had numerous reminders/confirmations. When we arrived my party of 3 and party 4 in front of me were told that the restaurant was overbooked by opentable and they only had bar seating available. The hostess and manager were extremely rude and said it was”wasn’t her problem” and essentially we were lucky to not be turned away (evidently they had to cancel many parties, I wish they had called to nordy me in advance). Given that it’s Mother’s Day, I figured we couldn’t get seating elsewhere, so we decided to stay. We had 11:00AM reservations (and were told we’d need to wait until 1:30 for a table or take bar seating). We sat at the bar waiting over an hour for a bland and undercooked breakfast. I have never waited so long for eggs and French toast. Not to mention that there were open tables the entire time my party and the other party spent seated at the bar. Will not be returning. The only pleasant staff member was the poor bartender who took the brunt of disgruntled customers who were forced into bar seating. Poor service, bad food, rude staff, not worth the trip, especially for a special event.
Casual but good food/drinks and very welcoming, friendly staff! Enjoyed our dinner! Great spot for hockey families to grab dinner as rink is 3 min away!
