Quality Inn Harrisonburg I-81

I found each room to be clean and tidy. I always check if the sink drains properly because I can't stand slow drains, but I was pleased to find that both the sink and shower worked perfectly. The toilet and shower area were spotless, and the sink and dressing area were well-maintained and stocked with toiletries. The king-size bed was made neatly and appeared clean. Of course, I pulled back the sheets at the foot of the bed to check for any critters, and I was relieved to find none! The linens and coverings were fresh and clean. I watched some TV before going to sleep, and I was glad to notice that the halls were quiet throughout the night; I didn't hear anyone running around, yelling, or slamming doors. While I didn't try the complimentary breakfast, there were other guests enjoying it, and the food looked freshly made. The gentleman at the front desk who checked us in was friendly and helpful with the paperwork and even assisted us with parking our trailer. The air conditioning unit was excessively loud, producing a static-like noise from time to time that was even more disruptive. It seemed outdated and in desperate need of replacement, making it difficult for us all to fall asleep due to the constant noise. To make matters worse, our fire alarm went off around midnight for no apparent reason. Just as we were finally starting to drift off, the alarm blared continuously. When I attempted to call the front desk, I discovered that the room phone didn't work and had no dial tone. I had to go downstairs to report the issue, only to find the front desk staff completely unprepared to handle the situation. She joined me at our room and ended up removing the alarm from the wall, indicating it had been malfunctioning for some time. I was advised to look up the front desk’s number online since the hotel phone was out of order, which seemed unprofessional. As for breakfast, it was mediocre at best. There was a small selection of hot food and a waffle maker, but since we had been up late dealing with the fire alarm, we missed out on most of it. When we finally made it down, the options were limited to a few slices of bread, yogurt, and watered-down juice. The only positive aspect of this hotel was its proximity to various dining options. However, there are numerous other hotels within walking distance that would likely provide a better experience. I wanted to share my concerns with the manager during checkout, but he didn’t even ask about my stay, which speaks volumes about the level of customer service here.

On the downside, the room occasionally felt a bit humid, so we had to keep the air conditioning running continuously. It seemed someone had trouble using the coffee maker, as we discovered coffee grounds in the water reservoir. Additionally, the breakfast was somewhat lacking. Despite these minor issues, I would definitely stay here again due to the cleanliness and the excellent location, which was close to restaurants and shopping, with easy access to downtown.

Clean, comfortable bed; clean and updated bathroom with a new tub/shower unit that drained properly and a fan that works! Corners of room were dirty, hallways needed vacuuming , HVAC unit was loud, especially when it turned on. No problem hearing people in the hallway. Hot breakfast was chaotic and not worth the effort although if you go early, it will work out fine. One waffle machine and a long line. Overall, acceptable, safe, we would stay here again but maybe see if a quieter room is an option. Front desk was pleasant.Walkability: You can walk to a couple different restaurants. Easy on and off 81.

The most horrible experience ever. They ran out of breakfast and when enquired if there is anything that will be refilled, the front desk women started yelling. Being in service business the least training you should have is ‘how to talk to the customer’. Terrible experience ever. We will never visit this place even accidentally.
