Jess' Lunch - Harrisonburg

Man oh man... Stopped at Jess'Lunch Downtown for supper. This has to be the best burger in town. Falty cooked me up this bacon cheeseburger and it was what my belly was wanting. Jamie was my server, service was great. I'll be coming back for Falty's cooking and Jamie's service. Words can't do justice to this burger and service I got at Jess'Lunch Downtown. Thank y'all.

I got the Lil Gus Burger, fries, and a can of root beer. It was delicious! So the Lil Gus Burger has mushrooms, pepper jack cheese, bacon, and BBQ sauce on it. It was huge despite the name and very filling. I don't think I've ever been asked how I want my burger cooked before. I chose medium well since that's usually my favorite when it comes to steak. The fries were really well seasoned too. The atmosphere was nice. It has a classic old-fashioned diner type of decor. This place gets a lot of regular customers and I could hear my server making idle conversation with people. It felt very personal. She made sure to check on me a few times. Overall I was very impressed and happy with what I got. I would seriously recommend eating here at least once.

Another old school lunch counter from 1922. Love the classic signage and vintage vibe. Visited for lunch. Burgers were made fresh, had authentic beef flavor, nicely cooked onions and lots of cheese on top. Onion rings and fries were also terrific. Service was fast and friendly. Only downside to this place was that it felt a little dirty, even by 'greasy spoon ' standards. Still a great choice for lunch in downtown Harrisonburg.
