Nana's Ice Cream - Harrisburg

Really nice ice cream shop, lots of different options to choose from along with toppings too. Reasonably priced and they have seating inside and outside. They do have restrooms to use. Located right next to walnut street bridge.

Ice cream shop situated right at the Downtown end of the Walnut Street pedestrian bridge. Has outdoor seating. Very tasty. Order either vanilla or chocolate ice cream then add a mix-in (long list of mix-in options) to create a flavor of ice cream. Reasonably priced.

The concept is great. (You pick topping to mix into your ice cream. The toppings are great. The ice cream is what you’d expect. The issue is the machine they use to mix all your toppings into the ice cream disintegrates them so badly that you can’t even tell if they are in there. It kind of just turns the chocolate or vanilla ice cream into a new creation flavor. So instead of tasting chunks like a DQ blizzard it’s just a new flavor of soft serve ice cream. Not sure if I explained that well. Not bad ice cream just kind of misses the mark with the concept.

Made a visit to the Ice Cream Show based on the reviews and I have to say I was not disappointed! I am a soft serve junkie and I could probably make a different combo everyday and be satisfied. They were busy but the line moved swiftly. The employees and other customers were friendly. Take a walk across the old railroad or enjoy the music outside. This is a can’t miss!

Had a great time picking just the right mix ins for our ice cream treat. Result was delicious. Also impressed quickly the line moved the staff was friendly and efficient.
