1700° Steakhouse - Harrisburg

If you have food allergies, the chef and staff at this restaurant go above and beyond to accommodate you. I want to give a special thanks to our waitress, HT, who helped me after I mentioned my allergies (which I had also noted in my reservation). She collaborated with the chef to ensure I had an unforgettable meal. Even though they had changed their entire menu just two days prior, the chef quickly adapted recipes to meet my needs and, wisely, only served me dishes made from scratch on-site to guarantee they were allergen-free. And what a meal it was! It might just be the best I’ve ever had. From the oysters to the mushrooms to the steaks, everything was exceptional. I prefer my steak rare, and it was cooked perfectly; beautifully seasoned, artistically plated, and prepared with utmost care regarding my food allergies. The pumpkin crème brûlée that followed was incredible. Everyone should dine here at least once in their lifetime—preferably more if you're lucky enough to live nearby!

Definitely a pricey restaurant BUT it was fantastic! The dirty martini was great and the steaks we all ordered were delicious. The ambiance was comfortable and the waiter was very helpful without being overbearing.

The bartender was excellent, but unfortunately, the steakhouse manager and chef were quite disappointing. I was served a steak that cost over $70, and it was overcooked, presented poorly—just a cold chunk of meat in the center of an 18-inch plate. Overall, this restaurant is not worth your time; I strongly recommend avoiding it. The manager and head chef should be replaced. AVOID at all costs.

This place is phenomenal. From the moment the valet takes your car, every person along your path was welcoming and pleasant. The server was attentive, always on time, courteous, never overbearing. The food .. likely the best I’ve ever had. Beautiful presentation, perfectly seasoned, every bite was perfection. I never associate fine dining in the middle of the city with country music so the music choice was confusing. Maybe mix that up a little. Seems off brand.

Tale of two experiences. I went two nights in a row. First night I ordered the ribeye. It was cooked perfectly. One of the best steaks I have ordered in a restaurant... and I have ordered MANY. Tonight I returned and ordered the 14 oz boneless strip steak. It couldn't have been more disappointing. It was chewy. I had to spit much of it onto my plate. The sauce I ordered with it was wonderful, as was the service, but please do not order the strip steak. I could post pictures but I don't want to gross anybody out.
