You enter through the main parlor of the hotel which has been converted into a gift shop with antiques and handmade items. We sat at the counter in vintage vinyl seats and ordered. We ordered a steak sandwich, pork chop John sandwich, and two cheeseburgers. All were very good. The accompanying French fries were hand cut and fresh. The lemonade, which was pink, was excellent. It was a nice dining experience for our children in a small vintage cafe that are not common any longer. Service was courteous and attentive.
Unfortunately, the building has burned down, so the restaurant is no longer in operation. Prior to the fire, it was just average.
Fantastic food and service! We had the fried chicken, which was made fresh to order and definitely worth the wait. The coconut cream pie was also delicious!
As for breakfast, it's your traditional diner-style fare that really hits the spot. I had the chicken-fried steak, which was cooked perfectly and generously topped with classic sausage gravy. It truly made my Sunday!
Closed permanently. The building has been torn down.
