Don't even think about asking for it to be cut thicker, as the staff guard it like their own treasure. The abundance of vegetables makes up for the small portions of meat, and the wait staff are friendly. However, the carvers seem more like trainee samurai and tend to carve the meat until there is nothing left on the bone. Many people in line shared this opinion, especially when a young carver with impressive knife skills appeared. Despite its quirks, the restaurant is always busy so it's worth giving it a try.
Absolutely dreadful experience. The serving spoon was burning hot under veg lights as veg was at the rear. Got terrible burn. It has given me a large blister. But worse is the attitude of the staff! When I was in distress asking for ice no one cared! It took 5 minutes of skin burning before somrone brought me a bucket of cold water. By now the damage had been done. Where was my apology? Where was the manager? Where was the legally required Accident book? Where was the First Aider? No one took my details. All I got was looks from ignorant staff . Only after half an hour did one girl approach with a burn plaster gel. If this had been more serious I dread to think of the consequences! This is absolutely despicable from a Toby!
Stingy with the meat, bratkartoffelen boiled, sweet only warm
Unfortunately our meat was really fatty and the roast potatoes were hard such a shame as it is usually my mum favourite restaurant she is 83 and we took her there as a treat.
Inexpensive fried dishes available during the week, as well as a quick carvery option for those in a hurry. The food is not gourmet quality.
