Y Branwen - HARLECH

For comparison, The Norbar and Y Sgwar provided a much better experience, with superior food quality, a pleasant atmosphere, and overall great customer service. I would highly recommend both and would return to them without hesitation. Unfortunately, I felt like we were short-changed both in terms of quality and experience; our meal certainly didn’t justify the £100 price tag. I regret not taking the time to read previous reviews on TripAdvisor, as many echoed our disappointing experience, which left me feeling deflated. I truly don't understand the business model here; I certainly wouldn't consider revisiting Y Branwen, nor would I recommend it to anyone. It seems focused on short-term profits rather than customer satisfaction. I've learned a valuable (but uncomfortable) lesson, and I encourage others to take my experience to heart and spend their hard-earned money elsewhere!

I came for the food and I will definitely be returning! The service was a perfect 10/10, the drinks were a solid 10/10, and the food was absolutely fantastic—10/10 as well! I loved every moment of my experience. Overall, I would rate the service a 5 out of 5!

My fiancé surprised me with a three-night stay for my birthday, and our experience was absolutely wonderful. Our room was clean and cozy, offering a lovely view of the golf course, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, perfect for collapsing into after a long day of exploring. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us; they were incredibly friendly and provided helpful information about the local area. The food was outstanding—I ordered the homemade burger, and it was delicious. The location was ideal as well, situated right beneath the cliffs with Harlech Castle nearby, just a 10-minute walk to the beach and a short drive to waterfalls and Snowdonia. Overall, everything was perfect. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

Absolutely fantastic service, fantastic burgers, fantastic beers and the man who runs the place is dare I say fantastic The menu is well curated by the chef, who knows what he’s doing and makes everything from scratch to high standards. It is by far the best place I’ve been to in this area. I would ignore any negative reviews of this place, I’ve read them and they are all frankly out of order! If you are looking for a nice quiet place with good food, a wide selection of drinks aldrin beer to gin and other spirits then this is the place for you. Also, a wealth of knowledge concerning Snowden , logistics and taxis.

Nice friendly staff, on the main road thru Harlech. So very easy to get around the area and the national park. Decent rooms and excellent service. All I'd say is it's right by what once was the steepest recorded road in the world so careful driving needed. Nearby activities: Harlech is a delightful, tourist friendly town. Good for a relaxed time, slow wanderer sort of trip. Nice little shops, interesting Castle with great views. Friendly cafes and pubs.
