She got ham, eggs, hashbrowns, and toast, he got the western omelet and hashbrowns. Her ham steak was so tough she could not cut through the ham with a serrated steak knife, her eggs still looked and smelled super raw. The toast was like biting into a rock. Both of their hasbrowns were like mash potatoes underneath while the top looked partially cooked, even though they had requested for them to be extra crispy. My son took a bite from his omelet and said the inside appeared to be undercooked, super runny/squishy, and he immediately felt sick to his stomach. They had taken one or two bites each before deciding the poor quality was not worth paying for. They proceeded to check out and as they attempted to pay for their drinks, they informed the staff and owner about the poor quality of the food. To their surprise the staff and owner’s response was to curse, belittle, and harass them, asking my son’s spouse if she was using the utensils correctly! At this point both the staff and owner were being extremely disrespectful, raising their voices and telling them they didn't care that the food was undercooked and literally sickening. My son once again offered to pay for the coffee they had drank but the owner yelled at them to leave. They proceeded to head toward the exit of the building when a woman they had seen pacing the store and interacting with staff began to chase them from the restaurant and out into the street, forcing my son into to a verbal confrontation on the sidewalk right in front of the restaurant on Main Street for the whole world to see! They felt both embarrassed and utterly disrespected! This type of behavior is absolutely appalling and any restaurant that conducts business this way should be shut down immediately!!!
I used to love this place, but the menu is now al a carte. So you have to order each item you want and pay for each individual item. For example, Bacon is $4 for 2 small strips! I understand they have to pay for the extension, but they will put many people off with the prices.
Great place for a bite to eat while exploring downtown Hardy.
Ordered the double cheeseburger with a side of fries. The whole meal was exactly as I hoped it would be with that down home small mom and pop shop restaurant taste and experience!Friendly staff! Delicious food! Great service! Will be back!
I love Hardy corn rivers as a perfect little staple and then open early food's always good hot only thing I wish is I had like lunch menu with sides like the dinners are made out other than that I love the
