I had the Harissa skewers for beginners who were very nice, followed by the mushroom cake. there was a lot of baked (and I say that as Carb-Queen), but the cake filling was delicious and the chips were great. the pub is owned by greene king, so the right choice is often limited, but in the night we went, they had something black sheep on. a fly in the anointing was that my wife, who is allergic on earth, had to sign something in the ground (on an ipad) until the day she could eat there. it did not feel very friendly, or as if they wanted to care for their allergy rather than an inconvenience and they did not want to sue them. Moreover, the meal was delicious and pleasant enough. updated by the previous review on 2021-06-27
Came here because my usual bike tour caffe stop was closed. it does not mention anything about having soy milk on their website, but they do so that I had a cup of tea. the vegan chocolate skyberry torte was really nice. service was fast, friendly and a nice cozy atmosphere inside.
Good vegan menu, my personal fave is the fish-free fish and chips very tasty, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere
We had the vegan burgers with chips and really enjoyed them. the lunch menu is a good value excellent part at £7 each. the sides have no vegan labeling on the menu from any reason so double check with their allergen folder. we sat in the garden and had a very relaxing hour with our newborn. the pub itself is too large and beautifully decorated. the personal was friendly. just below is the corridor to the toilets is really dark and the lighter in it will take a while to come so that I know that some of my family would not feel comfortable with self problems. no problem if they have a great vision of course!
A family friendly pub in a small village which is very vegan friendly. The harissa rice skewers were lovely and enything on the food menu is clearly labelled (including whether it can be veganized). There were several sorbets/sundaes as well as a chocolate torte (which seemed to be the same as served in the Hungary Horse chain) which can be served as a mini pudding as well. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and it was an excellent place to visit alongside omnivore family.
