Redeye Southern Kitchen - Hapeville

In a word, dissapointing would not recommend. The space is basically a giant hotel lobby it does not provide any dining ambiance per se. Shame on me for not looking more closely at the pictures. As to food... the Coke glazed shortribs probably would have been good, if they had not been WAY overcooked and completely dried out. The vegitables were, well, OK; but basically flavourless. Interestingly, the mashed yukon gold potatoes were cery good. Selection was highly limited, menu on site completely different from what was on line. Service was friendly and responsive.

Awful service, mediocre food, loud and expensive. I arrive shortly after 6 pm. The restaurant was almost empty but the bar had some customers. Took over 5 minutes for the hostess to find me a menu. Another 10 minutes and a waitress came by. I order a cocktail (Bourbon beehive), the Brussel sprouts and wedge salad. My drink took 35 minutes! Not only did it take a long time it was awful. A $16 cocktail that was almost undrinkable. Brussels had good flavor but so over cooked they were mushy. Salad was decent but using g food service bacon that had all clumped together into huge balls Would not recommend.

We never received our drinks and service was extremely slow.

Booked through open table to have a reservation. Wasn't aware it was in a Hilton hotel. The food was delicious but the prices were higher than expected. The dry rub smoked wings and cornbread muffins were my faves.
