Big food packed with taste, big price, big portions. love this chain! The Thai slaw bowl is one of my favorites but honestly they are all great!
Passing through Hanover, we chose Boloco for what looked like good quality, healthy food we could take on the go. It was just the right choice- fast ordering, healthy options (wheat wrap, brown rice, tofu), and easy to specify vegan. The menu was a bit small, but that also helped narrow the choices quickly. We chose a teriyaki burrito with tofu, and the Thai burrito with tofu, and both were delicious, satisfying, and very easy to eat in the car.
Boloco is a pretty self-explanatory casual food option for when you’re on the go or want something quick. They offer a variety of burritos and bowls, but if you’re vegan or vegetarian the best option is to build your own. Some of the vegan toppings include tofu, black beans, pinto beans, grilled broccoli, grilled mushrooms, brown rice, quinoa, fajita vegetables, guacamole, cooked beets, black bean hummus, etc. That is, there is a very large variety to choose from to make your burrito according to your taste. Service is quick and friendly, and the full menu can be found online, as they deliver. I enjoyed my vegan burrito. Their ingredients are fresh and flavorful. Additionally, I had the heart beet smoothie, which tasted natural and was not overly sweet like smoothies in fast-food places tend to be. I do recommend boloco as a nice customizable food option for vegans, especially those on a budget.
I am very particular about tortillas, but I was impressed by the ones I tried at Boloco. They were incredibly soft and delicious, unlike those at Chipotle, which are often stale and dry. There were so many options for building my burrito, including baked tofu, beans, and an assortment of vegetables.
