Hot Springs Motor Lodge Hanmer Springs

Nice restaurant situated next to Hanmer Springs retreat. Pricey meals but very delicious! The steak is amazing and the Moroccan chicken is about an 8 out of 10. It was slightly undercooked. Seating inside is good and plenty of room. Only reason for 4 star is when arriving after being told happy hour is on, (4-6pm) we weren't told of any specials and paid $10 each for a beer, usually they provide you with a list of specials or tell you what's on the happy hour list ... : overall good. 4 stars.

Surprisingly an exceptional gem in Hanmer Springs. Great food service and ambiance. The Barry Crump signature dish was a taste treat as well as the lamb. Andddd best onion rings we've tasted in 25 years living in NZ. We highly recommend this dinning experience to all locals and visitors. To Hanmer Springs.

We have just had a great meal at the five stags hotel. The buffalo children was fantastic. The slow cooked steak was unbelievable. I recommend the five stag when visiting New Zealand

Came in with a group of 10 last minute on a Saturday night to see if they had a table. They had one free and we're happy for us to come in. Staff were friendly and helpful, food took a while to arrive but everyone seems relatively happy with their food. The menu is bigger than other Five Stags I've been to. There is also a pool table and darts available.
