Smiley's Old Time Diner - Hancock

They're closed. They really need to update their information. We were looking forward to trying their food!

We traveled from Westfield to Smiley's for lunch with my 87-year-old aunt. Unfortunately, our server, who had glasses and brown hair, was rude and unhelpful when we inquired about the potato options and whether they served walleye. While the food we received was enjoyable, the service left much to be desired. We won’t be returning.

The only downside was our female server, who was rude and seemed disengaged. She barely made eye contact or smiled, and didn't check on us after our meal to see how we were doing. When we checked out, there was no thank you or acknowledgment of our presence. I’m considering reaching out to Donna about this, as I believe this young woman may be better suited for a different role. We felt poorly treated by her, and if I were to judge my experience solely on that aspect, it would deter me from returning. However, the delicious food will bring us back, and we hope for a different server next time. Please consider dining here!

We used to like to stop here everytime we headed up north. They always had good food and great service in the past. The last few times we have eaten here they have gotten our order wrong and their omelets are all egg and hardly any filling. One of the waitresses is super sweet and the other one, which was ours the last couple times, is a little rude and not very attentive. Its too bad, we used to like coming here, something has changed.
