I don't know why this place was only 4 stars on these reviews. This is the best seafood we had so far?. Better then the Beach House south. If you stay north, go to the line at Dolphin. No reservations, but our wait on Thursday was only about half an hour. I believe them? on Mondays and Tuesdays because of other restaurants that are closed in the area. We had the shrimp empura role and it was deliciously prepared. The spoiled Mahi mahi was probably the best I had on all islands. The white rice was tender and soft. The staff (bar channels) and sushi cuisine were very friendly. We'll be back. Can't go wrong with the alcoholic special drinks they also offer.
The food was fresh and delicious. The rainbow pool and seafood knowers were excellent. Service was friend and relatively fast. They were able to have a candle on the dessert for my children bday. Will definitely go back. We place our name on the list at 4:30 for the 5 o'clock seats. It'll be too early for dinner. But we didn't get our entrees by six, so it was perfect.
We stopped and took some poke for dinner, and blue marlin to repair for dinner the next night. the kerl behind the theke was very helpful and shared recommendations (I know that tourists ask many of the same stupid questions). when we had a bar and an outside seat during sunset, we decided to come back and have a few drinks, but when we stopped in a few days later and the host asked about it, they looked at us as if we wanted tickets for the circus and replied: oh, we don't really do this. odd because they have a bar.
Tried the Dolphin Restaurant in Hanalei for the first time and it was delish! Sat in sushi lounge which was pretty cool and laid back! The Rainbow Poke was delightfully tasty as was the shrimp tempura! The wife loved the lobster dinner and while I inhaled the Poipu Roll! Good vibes and good eats highly recommend! Shout out to Ivy our server who was great! Will be coming back next time we?re in the area!
