We could also meet with the boss/owner of The Inn Spot on the bay and talk what was really nice. The only reason it was quiet was because of the pandemic we have to do with. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very charming and friendly. I look forward to returning when it is packed:
As always, The Inn Spot never fails. It was the beginning of their international festival that they made in the winter months. They opened with a French menu: delicious, hearty onion soup, followed by beef bourgoninn and then a divine baba au rhum and panda cotta with a hard, burning sugar crust...yummy!
Excellent food! Service was excellent and I liked that Chef Collette came to say the tables Hello and to ask how the food was. Would this restaurant refer to all my friends and family. An excellent culinary experience.
We went to the Inn Spot for Christmas 2018. It was the first Christmas without my mom and I wanted to do something else for my dad and three kids. Dinner was exceptional for all 5 of us. (My husband had fever and could not join us). I agreed a lot about the food to my husband and my dad that it was excellent and worth the 50-minute drive. Only the three of us dared here on Christmas Day 2019 and for various reasons disappointed. Service is excellent. Location is beautiful. Dad said the geese wasn't as good as last year. It was “grass and dry”. The filling for my turkey dinner had in it pieces of bread and did not seem thoroughly flavored or completely mixed. The waiter had told my husband that an Ingwerbread-Chiffon-Dessert was actually a piece of Ingwerbread and not Ingwerbread seasoned mousse. He enjoyed the mousses, but we were confused about the description that when we asked. Nice ambience. Nice place. Felt bad that I hyped it on the basis of 5 perfect meals last year. Excellent size components. Beautiful aromas. Appropriate price.
We had an awful experience. The menu was extremely limited and the quality of the food was bad. Some items — truffled tater tots— seemed to come almost directly from the frozen foods section at the supermarket. Items that supposedly included lobster appeared to have surimi in them instead. The shellfish pie at $32 was grotesquely overpriced. The duck special just had a blob of brown rice added to it, nothing more. This restaurant seemed to be a throwback to days when it was extremely difficult to find decent food on the East End. They need to up their game dramatically or pack it in.
